Coming Soon: Natives Vs. Immigrants...Who will win the digital war?

Week 2 of the course was a focus on Digital Natives vs. Digital Immigrants. When thinking about these two topics, I find myself in the middle leaning more towards the Native side. There are things that I do not know how to do on a computer yet, but I am not afraid to learn if I need to. Digital Natives are more and more present in this technologically savvy future. Our parents are definitely more of the Digital Immigrants in that they don't know how to do many things on the computer, that children today as young as 8 can do. Is this necessarily a bad thing? No, but in order for the "immigrants" to keep up it would be best if they could have experience with programs they had thought to be unnecessary at one time. Being a digital native I think it is for the best that all people experience technology as it comes along.
